How To cook KLA Brown Rice

(In Sauce pan)

Select a large saucepan with a tight fitting lid.
Measure the rice. One cup of uncooked rice will yield approximately three cups of cooked rice. Rinse the rice thoroughly in a sieve or strainer until the water runs clear. Add to saucepan. For softer rice, soak the grains in cold water for 45 minutes to an hour before cooking. Optionally, you can heat a little oil in the saucepan over medium heat and fry the rice for a moment before adding the water. This helps build flavor, but is definitely optional.
Add 2 and 1/2 cup of water for every cup of brown rice, 1 tablespoon butter and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir gently.
Than reduce the heat to low and simmer, covering the saucepan with a lid and cook it for 40-50 mins.
Once the rice has finished cooking, leave it to rest with lid on for a minimum of 10 mins.
Serve Hot.

(In the oven)

Pre heat the oven to a temp of 375 degree fahrenheit (191 degree celsius).
Measure out 1 and 1/2 cups of brown rice. Rinse the rice thoroughly in a strainer. Place the rice into a baking dish.
Boil the water. Bring 2 and 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of salt to boil in a saucepan. Pour it over the rice and cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake the rice in the oven for 1 hour and serve hot.

(In the Microwave)

Add 3 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of butter in a microwave safe dish with a lid.
Measure out 1 cup of brown rice in strainer and wash it up with cold water. Sprinkle the rice in microwave dish.
Place the dish in the microwave to cook uncovered for 10 mins on high power. Than cover the dish and cook for 35 mins on 50% power.
Leave the microwave door closed and let the dish to sit in it for 10 mins.
Serve Hot.

(In the rice cooker)

Measure out the amount of rice , usually 1 cup and rinse the rice thoroughly in cold water, than soak for 45 mins.
Drain the rice and pour in the inner vessel of the rice cooker.
Pour water 2 and 1/2 cup and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Fit the lid and leave the rice to cook for approx, 45 mins.
Fluff the rice up with a fork before serving.
